Iron Plaid Robotics

Iron Plaid participates in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), the most advanced level within the organization of FIRST, which seeks to promote science and technology to students of all ages. We would like to ask you to contribute to support Iron Plaid in our 2018 Season!
Starting on January 6, 2018, our team has 6 weeks to design, build, and program a competitive robot that follows game guidelines. Iron Plaid members put in on average 22 hours per week designing, engineering, building, and perfecting our robot during our build season!
Our accomplishments include:

  • Qualifying for and competing in the World Championships five times within 8 years
  • Winning major awards by General Motors and Underwriters Laboratories for engineering, design and safety
  • Having the Mayor of Houston declare an “Iron Plaid Day”
  • Extensive outreach in developing and promoting STEM for girls

Iron Plaid had an amazing 2017 season, and we are enthusiastically preparing for another fantastic year of outreach, build, and competition! However, our success wouldn’t be possible without the help of our sponsors. We graciously ask you to consider pledging your financial support to allow us to continue our accomplished program. Thank you for your consideration.
All donations are tax-deductible. Although our team relies on monetary support, we gratefully accept in kind donations of machinery, tools, and even meals as well. Please consider sponsoring at one of the above levels to help sustain our team!
